Transitional double-size duvets
These are double or duo duvets, as many people know them. Versions with transitional filling are usually a big favourite for couples. We originally designed these duvets for the spring–autumn season, but they can also work very well in winter. However, they are not ideal for everyone – we explain this briefly below.
If your home is pleasantly warm and you are not particularly sensitive to the cold, this can be a perfect choice for the winter months. In a well‑heated bedroom this duvet gently adds that extra warmth you may miss on colder nights, helping you relax and sleep comfortably.
Who is a transitional double duvet ideal for?
Our double duvets with a 4 seasons filling are very close in warmth to many of the winter duvets currently available on the market. As mentioned in another description, we add more filling to our winter duvets so they truly deliver the cosy warmth people are looking for. We are not fans of shivering at night, but we do love that snug feeling of being tucked in up to the neck under a truly warm duvet.
With our 4 seasons duvets, which are tailored to the in‑between seasons, we also focused on the fact that early mornings can still be chilly, sometimes close to freezing. That is why we designed them so both you and your partner can enjoy a comfortable wake‑up, even when the temperature drops. Even if your home is generally warm, in the early hours you still tend to pull the duvet up and wrap yourself in it – especially in winter. As mentioned, we can confidently recommend this type of duvet for anyone who sleeps in a warmer bedroom.
If you feel cold at night and prefer intense warmth, it is better to choose the winter version instead. With a proper winter duvet you can be sure you will stay comfortably warm and won’t have to worry about feeling chilly.
