Which types of bed sheets can you choose from?
Canvas sheet: Probably the most common and best-known option is the classic canvas sheet. With its approx. 140 g/m² fabric weight, it’s an excellent choice for everyday use. It’s easy to wash and iron, and thanks to its 100% cotton composition, it works well on virtually any bed. Its great moisture absorption makes it a reliable partner even in the summer months. This type of sheet is a safe recommendation for everyone and is also well-suited for hospitality use, such as hotels and guesthouses.
Terry sheet: Alongside canvas, our experience shows that terry sheets are another outstanding choice. The pleasantly soft, elastic fabric adapts well to the shape of the mattress, and the elastic edging helps keep the sheet securely in place, making it far less likely to slip off the corners. Its moisture absorption is often even better than that of canvas sheets, as terry material is naturally designed to draw in and hold moisture. Thanks to the terry surface on one side, you always know which way to place it on the bed, and its softness speaks for itself. The terry fabric is typically made from 80% cotton and 20% elastane.
Jersey sheet: Jersey sheets share many similar properties with terry sheets, but they can be a better choice for those who prefer a smoother surface without the terry texture. Made from 100% cotton jersey, these sheets also offer excellent moisture absorption and support comfortable, everyday sleep. They are soft to the touch, breathable and practical for regular use, making them a popular alternative for both adults’ and children’s beds.
